Home Hemodialysis
Assisted home hemodialysis (AHHD) is a form of dialysis where a visiting nurse or other medical professional provides and performs the treatment in the patient's home. This model is a conventional Chronic Hemodialysis Treatment except it happens at a patient home instead of a chronic dialysis center. Assisted HHD aims to support patients who need the flexibility of home dialysis but may lack the ability to travel to the dialysis center.

Chronic Hemodialysis
Chronic hemodialysis is a long-term medical treatment for chronic kidney failure where a dialysis machine acts as an artificial kidney to remove waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys can no longer perform these functions. Blood is pumped from the body through the machine, where a dialyzer cleanses it before it is returned to the body. In-center schedules including three sessions per week up to 4hours treatment time.

Acutes Hemodialysis
In-hospital hemodialysis is a life-sustaining medical procedure performed in a hospital, where a machine filters waste and excess fluid from a patient's blood, returning it cleansed. Blood is drawn through tubes to a dialyzer (artificial kidney) and a cleansing dialysate, before being returned to the body. This treatment is vital for individuals with kidney failure and is overseen by trained medical staff, who monitor the patient and the process.

Peritoneal Dialysis
Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is a home-based treatment for kidney failure that uses the natural lining of the abdomen (the peritoneum) as a filter to remove waste and excess fluid from the blood. A soft tube called a catheter is surgically placed in the abdomen to infuse a cleansing fluid (dialysate) into the belly, which absorbs waste. After a set time, the dialysate is drained out, taking the waste with it.
